Our Vision is that children throughout the world will learn to use their breath through yoga, meditation, and mantra. They will use their breath to respond to conflict with composure and grace. By regulating their impulsive and emotional reactions, they will live a more peaceful, joyful, and happy life.

Benefits of yoga for kids

Movement is the foundation  for learning.  Each child's class includes yoga poses that incorporate the breath, open the joints, stretch and strengthen the muscles.  Balancing poses that improve concentration skills, as well as cross-lateral movements that integrate the right and left hemispheres of the brain.  These movements help improve reading comprehension, communication skills as well as help children relax and feel safe.

  • Develops coordination, balance, and flexibility
  • Encourages calm feelings

Calm Your Mind

A Gong Immersion is like a very deep and lasting sound massage. Some call it a gong bath because one feels like they are being bathed in warm waves of vibration from the gong. The secret of the gong is its tremendous potential for healing, rejuvenation, and inner peace. The gong facilitates deep relaxation, transformation, and release.

Leslie Nuesca

Her Journey

Leslie Nuesca, a Los Angeles native, has regularly practiced yoga since she was a child. In January 2004, Leslie took her first Kundalini yoga class with Master Teacher Tej Kaur Khalsa. This experience resonated with her so powerfully that she pursued professional yoga studies in April 2006 and earned her IKYTA teaching certificate with Master Teachers Tej Kaur Khalsa, Harijiwan, Gurudhan, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa and Gurushabid. In February 2008, Leslie became certified in the Khalsa Way Pre-Natal Teacher’s Training Course with Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa and participated in a Gong Yoga course with Mehtab Benton at Yoga West in 2009. In 2013, Leslie completed Brain Gym 101 through the Educational Kinesiology Foundation with Denise Hornbeak. In 2019, Leslie received the Kundalini Aquarian Teacher Training Level 2: Vitality and Stress certification with master teachers at Ra Ma Yoga Institute in Venice, California.

Leslie’s son began taking yoga classes at the age of 4. She immediately noticed his ability to regulate his emotions using the tools he learned in class. As a result of seeing the positive impact yoga had on her son, she was inspired to bring yoga to other children. She began teaching yoga to children in February 2006 at various schools throughout Los Angeles. In addition, she established a home studio where she offered both group and private instruction.

Leslie’s love for art, photography, and yoga inspired her to launch Creative Workshops: Yoga, Art and Cooking for Children in 2006. She taught and directed these workshops for 12 years.

In March of 2009, Leslie taught yoga to the pre-school children at Agape International Spiritual Center and taught children’s yoga classes for the Green Festival LA in October 2011. Leslie was invited to teach a children’s class at the Moshka Festival in Santa Monica, California in 2012 and in Topanga, California in 2013. In 2019, The Numenous online magazine wrote an article about Kundalini children’s yoga and Leslie Nuesca entitled, “Material Girl, Mystical World.”
